MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY
VFW Post 1152 will host the Memorial Day ceremony for 2008. It will be held at the Crown Point Soldiers & Sailors
Monument as in the past.
The service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday (Memorial Day) May 26th, 2008. Please plan to be at the monument by 10:30
AM.
All veteran and patriotic groups are welcome to lay a wreath at the monument during the service. If your group plans to

Our VFW Military Rites Unit is sponsered
and regulated by Post 1152 and Post 8035. We are comprised of members from various veteran's organizations in our area. These
members are all volunteers who believe it's an honor to pay tribute to their fallen comrades. The Military Rites Unit asks
for no monetary payment for this service. Every veteran of the U.S. military has a right to this service. However, if you
would like to make a donation to help pay for uniforms and equipment it would be greatly appreciated. We pride ourselves by
having one of the best units in Indiana. In 2003 we provided services for 186 funerals. This number does not include flag
raising ceremonies, school visitations, church ceremonies, color guards, or the many other services provided by our unit.
Many of our volunteers are retired, but their service to the VFW and their fallen comrades has become nearly a full time job.
If you have a need for our services, please ask your funeral director. He will in turn contact Steve Heronemus at 765
457-6803, Fred Fisher at 457-1933, or Bob Larsen at 453-9532. If no answer call VFW Post 1152 at 452-1521. You will need verification
that your loved one was a veteran such as a DD214 form. Your funeral director can obtain verification and a flag. We strive
to provide services for all "local" veterans. In some cases we'll provide services for fallen veterans from surrounding counties
if our very busy schedule permits.

Community Services...
Our Military Rites Team provides more than funeral
services for our fallen veteran comrades. We also provide color guards, flag folding ceremonies, flag dedications, and flag raising
ceremonies for schools, churches, and other non-profit organizations. These services are also free (first come, first serve).
If your organization is a business that earns a profit,
we do ask for a donation for our services.
WELCOME HOME VETERANS!
VFW Post 1152 will pay dues for all
qualified military personel and returning veterans. This includes qualifying Reservists and National Guard personel. Please
stop by VFW Post 1152 for details, or eMail: Commander John Ayres.
LETS EAT!
VFW Post 1152's "AMERICAN GRILL" is
now offering an extensive menu. Please stop in for supper. You'll be glad you did. The food is great! The general public is
invited, but only VFW and Auxiliary members may purchase alcoholic beverages from the canteen. The grill is open every Friday
evening for your dining pleasure. It is also open during our Bingo sessions.
KAROKE
We have karoke every Friday evening (unless notified) at 7pm. Any non-members must be signed in by
a member, and must leave when their hosting member leaves. A member may sign-in two non-members. An auxiliary member may sign
one guest in. Children may stay until closing on Friday nights as long as they are with a parent or guardian. Any changes
will be posted on the post bulliten board.
"FLAGS"
VFW POST 1152 HAS U.S. FLAGS FOR SALE TO
THE GENERAL PUBLIC. OUR FLAGS ARE THE BEST QUALITY, AND HAVE 4 SEAMS ON THE WIND EDGE. YOU WILL BE DELIGHTED TO KNOW THAT
OUR PRICES ARE LOWER THAN MOST DISCOUNT STORES. ALSO, YOU MAY BRING YOUR OLD AND WORN FLAGS TO VFW POST 1152 FOR PROPER DISPOSAL.
